Sims Say the Darndest Things

My self-sim was at a community lot in Sims 3 Moonlight Falls (where I added some Strangetown default characters too), and other sims began to gossip about him. Some of them may not know about my Watcher status…

REALLY… Lola Curious? πŸ˜‰

  1. Good going on the scripts I see, great! And those Sims are some real tattletales! Good luck on your further work! πŸ˜€

      1. I play both, and enjoy both! I have all the Sims 3 expansion packs (Except for Supernatural, wich I’m going to get soon) And for the Sims 2 I have 4 expansion packs. I think The Sims 2 and 3 are both fun in their own way. Thanks for asking. πŸ™‚

        1. – I see. Supernatural is my favorite for Sims3.
          – Which Expansions do you have for Sims2?
          – I think Sims3 gameplay is an improvement from Sims2, but Sims2 is a much better machinima engine.
          – At this time, I don’t “play” with Sims2 anymore, but use it only for my stories, since I can control the production more closely, and because the premade characters in Sims2 are generally more memorable.
          – Do you have more favorite premade characters from Sims2 than Sims3?

        2. Sims 2 Expansions? I have: ‘Seasons’, ‘University, wich came with the IKEA pack’, ‘Bon Voyage’ and ‘Nightlife’. My favorite pre-made sims from Sims2 have to be either the Goth’s or the Specter’s. Do you enjoy searching through the Sims Wiki for more information about the pre-made Sims as much as I do?

  2. Good luck finishing your scripts! I hope you’ll finish soon; I’ve missed seeing new Strangetown Monty episodes on your Youtube page.

Also, apparently, the Beaker family (or perhaps more specifically, Loki, Erin, and their parents) return to the Sims franchise in Aurora Falls. Even though it looks like Loki’s role in STM is over (at least to my knowledge :P), and Erin didn’t really make an appearance, will you be getting this world and featuring it in Strangetown Monty?

On that note, how’s Monte Vista? I thought the world looked beautiful; I can’t wait to see how you tie it into Strangetown Monty πŸ™‚

    1. I don’t think I’ll be buying Aurora Skies, but it makes sense for them to feature Loki & Erin in a Scandinavian-themed nhood. Monte Vista is a picturesque town for playing purposes. I don’t think Sims3 is as flexible as a machinima engine as Sims2, so Monte Vista is less likely to appear in STM Season2 than I initially thought.

      1. I’m sorry to hear that (Monte Vista, not Aurora Skies) 😦 . If you don’t mind my asking, what features of the Sims 3 do you dislike? I play the Sims 2, and have long debated about getting the Sims 3, so I’d be glad to hear your input πŸ™‚

        1. (To clarify my earlier comment: I did read the FAQ before posting the message, and I agree; at the beginning, they did look very plasticine, but I think Late Night somewhat assauged that by introducing the muscle-tone slider. I meant to ask the questions with regards to filming in the Sims 3 – is there a mechanic you dislike in particular?)

        2. I prefer Sims3 *gameplay* to Sims2.
But I prefer Sims2 as a *machinima* engine to Sims3.
It’s much harder to control character animations in Sims3.

If you’re looking for a game to play, Sims3 is worth consideration.
But it’s very likely to test your patience if you attempt to make machinima with it.
Even with Late Night, I still think Sims3 characters look like plasticine.
